This tour is a visit to more than 50 buildings (in 1:45/2 hours) in a pictoresque district with cobbled streets not far from the city center. It is designed for those who want to see a different and not-turisty side of Turin's architecture, concentrated in one compact district with painted facades and windows, artistic benches and even a street painting gallery. * This is the first open-air contemporary art museum in an urban center in Italy (and most of people of Turin do not know it!) *The wall paintings increase year by year, they have very different styles, materials, supports, techniques: you will certainly not get bored!Do youm know that Turin is a city with 172 street art pieces of art?I studied Art History at Turin's University and will share with you all my knowledge, but I would like you to express our opinion too, we will make comparisons and learn together, in an informal experience with your LOCAL FRIEND.Being a teacher of Italian for foreigners, you can practice your Italian and ask me whatever you like about Italian culture, lifestyle, etc. I'll be happy to satisfy your curiosity!IMPORTANT The visit can start between 9 and 12pm, depending on the day (even in the afternoon, if I am free): the schedule you see online is purely indicative.✓✓✓ Please WRITE to me BEFORE booking (to +39 33 94 60 48 85 or here in the section Q&A) since, depending on your time availability and language, maybe another day/hour would fit you better (the tour can be in 4 language). I will answer as soon as I can!

Comparing International Music Lessons on Video

Video-recorded music lessons (on multi angle DVDs) were used to inspire and improve understanding among experts from different cultures and discourses of music education. To make the process manageable and focused we developed the Analytical Short Film (2-3 minutes) to address particular areas of interest and starting points for debate. We asked selected music teachers from seven nation-states to allow a typical and (in their opinion) good lesson to be recorded. We also asked the students and their parents for permission. At a symposium, national experts and researchers presented views on "their" lessons through Analytical Short Films. Discussion included implicit and explicit comparisons. The presenters also used a lesson from one of the other countries to stimulate discussion about assumptions in and challenges to their own views. We documented all comparisons made and compared these to derive cross cultural categories (tertia comparationis). These categories should be relevant for understanding what makes a music lesson "good". The different perspectives and discussions offered by the authors in this book - together with 10 DVDs, interviews with the teachers and students and associated research - provide rich and diverse material for researchers, teachers and teacher educators.

This book contains my observations on the present situation in Russian schools. Also, it will provide you with some tips how to cope with typical problems you may face as a teacher, my personal methods directed to help students with learning and to make a learning process more efficient. Some of this methods are quite new for the modern Russian school: it is rather hard to embed them in teacher's work because of our traditional educational system that has not been modernized since the USSR and is not very friendly to any new ideas. Besides, this book includes some critics of the Russian school system and comparisons with the USA school system.
